Star Coaster with Poms

Here is my first public crochet pattern.  It is a coaster but the first one was more like a candle mat since I used double yarn.  I was inspired by the request for Christmas coasters from our local hospice.  We are making them to go on the meal trays or bedsides.  I did it in white but it would be very cute done in red with white poms to look like Santa hats in a circle.  Also you could try school colors like blue star, orange pom for Auburn or crimson star, white pom for Ala.  Adapts to any school.  Would also be great in sparkly jiffy thread.

Well, let me know how it comes out or if there are any mistakes.  Also, send pix and I will post.

These turned out really cute! I am more a knitter than crocheter and admire that you could figure out your own pattern.

I was going to tell you the other day that I am a blogger too---since 2006 actually. Follow my profile and it will take you right to it. I flagged yours in my feeds. See you soon in person and online in the meantime, LOL.
